Mapping of gender balance

In order to be successful with the work on improving gender balance, it is critical to choose instruments adapted to the problem(s). This requires an understanding on what the problem(s) is. An understanding of the problem is built on knowledge about the situation in the department/faculty. You can use this tool to obtain a tabular overview of gender balance in your faculty, department and on study programmes. For more in-depth statistics and comparison between institutions in Norway, you can use the ‘Balancinator’ tool below. All statistics used here have been retrieved from the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills, and they are publicly available: https://dbh.hkdir.no/
